Beat-Band-boogieBoom, boom, boom parrup, bah-dum TISH! Here comes the marching band! Left, right, left right… Atten-SHUN!

Step in time to the beat: 1,2,3,4, let’s make sounds, high and low!

That sound is loud! That one’s quiet… Shhhh, listen up! What can you hear? There are sounds all around. What’s making each one?

Then it’s time to perform... Oh, what a performance! Your audience loves you, so let’s take a bow!

BounceThrow it, catch it, roll it, bounce it! BOING, BOING, BOING! Up and down and side to side, can you catch the bouncing ball?

Can you bounce too? Jump like a horse, leap like a frog or kick like a kangaroo! How many bounces can you do?

Now let’s relax… Breathe deeply and stretch those tired muscles. Yawn… All that bouncing must be making you tired!

PharaohsLet’s travel back 5000 years to the dusty realms of ancient Egypt. Cruise along the Nile, entering a world of mysteries and curses, mummies and kings.

Find out about life on the river’s fertile banks, discovering Egypt and its fascinating culture.

Now open the doorway to ancient Egypt – who knows what treasures you will find?

Muck-Mess-and-MixturesLet’s get messy! Muck and mess is good! In fact, it’s megamarvellous!

Dive in and get your hands and feet all sticky and covered in paint. Play with liquids, squish some dough and check out the slushiest and mushiest foods.

Don’t worry about the mess… it’ll always wash!

Year-2-project-Street-detectivesThis way or that way? Where should we go? Up to the local shops or down to the playing fields? Let’s learn about our local community, looking at houses old and new and finding out how our streets have changed since our mums and dads were young. Perhaps your granny or grandpa went to your school or maybe they worked in the baker’s shop.

Ready to roll, Street Detectives? Get your clipboards and cameras… it’s time to start investigating!

BeachcombersOh, I do like to be beside the seaside! Do you? That’s good, because you’re about to become an expert beachcomber!

Head to your nearest beach to look for interesting and unusual objects, using your senses to spot, sniff and seek them out.

Got your shorts and sunglasses on? Bucket and spade at the ready? Splish, splash! Let’s get beachcombing…
