Today on welly walk we have been practising our letter formation with chalk.
This week, Reception Class have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk, and today we planted our very own! The children took their beanstalk home to water and care for it.
This mornings nursery class have made cornflake nests today. The children made predictions about what would happen to the chocolate when we melted it. They also practised their motor skills by stirring and scooping the mixture. The best part of course, was eating them all up!
On Wednesday our Y3 and Y4 children performed the Easter production of Roll Back the Stone. They did a great job, putting lots of effort into the performance.
Today we said goodbye to our butterflies as we released them. They were very friendly butterflies, so we got to hold them if we wanted to. This afternoon we had a visit from Joe, who coaches Darwen Rangers Football Club. He played lots of fun games with us and we practised our football skills.
Gold Class have been busy on their nature walk, looking for the different items on their list. They found lots of exciting things on their exploration of the natural world.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our community clean up, we made a great start to cleaning our field! It is amazing what you find when litter picking. Alongside the usual litter we found a plate, a toilet seat, Dyson hoover parts, and a bag full of clothes. We will be hosting another [...]
Today in RE the children learned all about the last supper. We washed each others feet and we ate some bread, just like Christians believe Jesus and his apostles would have done.
Today in class we have planted some cress seeds. We have discussed what the seeds will need to grow and we will be checking them every day. When they have grown, we will be eating them on a sandwich.
