Today we said goodbye to our butterflies as we released them. They were very friendly butterflies, so we got to hold them if we wanted to. This afternoon we had a visit from Joe, who coaches Darwen Rangers Football Club. He played lots of fun games with us and we practised our football skills.
In Reception class we have discussing the importance of keeping ourselves safe. We have talked about the importance of closing the toilet door when we are on the toilet so no-one can see us. Today in RE the children learned all about the last supper. We washed each others feet and we ate some bread, just like Christians believe Jesus and his apostles would have done.
Today in class we have planted some cress seeds. We have discussed what the seeds will need to grow and we will be checking them every day. When they have grown, we will be eating them on a sandwich.
On today's welly walk we went on a bug hunt. We found spiders, slugs, a snail shell, a millipede, ants and woodlice. We also found a mouse, luckily it was only pretend!
Gold Class and Reception Class had great fun during today's dance workshop, some of the children were a little nervous at first, but they soon settled in and enjoyed it. We acted out the story How to Catch a Star through dance. IMG_2855 IMG_2848
