Reception Class - RE.
This half term in RE Reception Class have been learning about stories Jesus heard. This week the story ws Noah's Ark. The children created their own loypop stick Arks and colourful rainbows.
Pre-School - Building Beanstalks.
The children have been building their own beanstalks with the blocks and we have explored what we might find at the top.
2's Room - Developing Fine Motor Skills
In the two’s room the children have been making marks on the chalk boards and developing their fine motor skills with dough disco activities. We have explored the what’s in the box at singing time and used the puppets to sing.
Y5 - Science, Collecting Data.
Year 5 have been measuring meteor craters and creating charts with the data.
Pre-School - Planting and Growing.
This week we are continuing with our story of Jasper’s Beanstalk. The children have planting cress today to explore how it grows and what it needs to grow. The children are so excited to see what happens next.
Y3 - Science, Exploring Light.
This afternoon year 3 have started their new Science topic called Light. We have been investigating how we need light in order to see and the absence of light is dark.
Looking After our Teeth - Reception Class
Today Reception Class had a visit from Helen at Talking Teeth in Schools. She came and talked to us about our teeth and how important it is to look after them. We toook par tin lots of fun activities around dental health and we had a healthy snack too.
Breakfast Club Update
Breakfast Club Update: As of next week, Monday 24th January all children who have booked a place for breakfast club should enter school via the front office entrance. Access will not be available via the KS2 yard. As your child arrives, a member of staff will tick their name off on the breakfast club register. If there is no place booked for that child, unfortunately they will not be able to attend breakfast club. We will ask parents to return with their child at the start of the school day at 08:55. If you haven't booked a space, we also have a waiting list for the week. Please contact the school office if you wish for your child to be added to the list. We also politely ask that your child attends breakfast club once a place is booked. Failure to attend will result in us offering the place to a child on the waiting list. Unfortunately we have had to make these changes as we have too many children arriving at breakfast club without booking and the numbers exceed what we are permitted to have in the hall with regards to space and staffing.
Year 5 Art and Design.
Year 5 have been learning how to create African prints. This afternoon we are transferring our prints to blocks ready to use rollers to print our designs into our sketch books! It’s very tricky but the children are applying their growth mindset and persevering.
Year 4 Computing
Today in computing Year 4 inserted animals into cells to make a zoo. We needed to lock the cells so the lion can’t enter the cells and eat the animals!
Year 2 - DT
Year 2 have made their own finger puppets in DT.
Year 3 Art and Design.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their Art lesson today. They had to create positive and negative prints.
