At Darwen St James, we recognise the importance of PE to the health and well-being of our children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on our children and develop their problem-solving, perseverance and teamwork skills. We also believe that PE and sport also have a positive effect on their resilience and confidence as well as the physical benefits too.
Our Primary PE and Sports Premium Grant will enable us to continue to extend our provision through engaging with a variety of sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions and training our staff to deliver quality PE sessions.
