Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

Pop along for a cup of tea, a slice of cake, and a catch-up—all in support of a fantastic cause. We’re hosting a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, and we’d love to see you there! Time: Starts at 2:15 PM What’s on: Freshly brewed tea & coffee, delicious homemade baked goods to purchase, and fun games to play! 100% of the money raised will go directly to Macmillan to support people living with cancer and their families. Bring your appetite, your change, and your friends! If you can't stay long, feel free to pop in and grab a slice of cake to take home. See you all there! 💚

Year 6 Bike Ability

Year 6 Bikeability Training We are excited to share that our Year 6 pupils will soon have the opportunity to take part in their Bikeability training! Bikeability is the UK’s national cycle training programme, designed to give pupils the skills and confidence to ride safely on modern roads. What the Children Will Learn Led by qualified instructors, Year 6 will take their cycling skills out onto local roads around the school. During the training, they will learn how to: Carry out essential bike safety checks. Signal clearly to other road users and navigate junctions safely. Identify potential road hazards and ride with awareness and confidence. Putting Our Values into Action Courage: Taking that step from the playground out onto the road takes real bravery. Perseverance: Practising key signals, listening carefully, and mastering road positioning requires focus and patience.

Book Fair in School

We are delighted to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair is arriving at our academy soon! Reading for pleasure opens up a world of imagination, hope, and learning. Our book fair will feature hundreds of brilliant books to choose from—including popular series, inspiring non-fiction, graphic novels, and picture books. There really is something for every child and every reading age to enjoy!

Harvest Festival in Church

We warmly invite all of our families and friends to join us in church for our annual Harvest Festival service! Harvest is a wonderful time for our school family to come together in faith, give thanks for the food we have, and show Love and Friendship to those in our local community who need a helping hand. During the service, our children will be sharing songs, readings, and prayers to celebrate this special season.

Parents Evening

We warmly invite all parents and carers to our upcoming Parents' Evening! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your child's teacher and find out how they are settling into their new year group, celebrate their early progress, and discuss how we can work together to support their learning journey. All appointments must be booked in advance via the Arbor app or portal. Booking is now open! If you need any help logging into Arbor or booking a time slot, please pop into the school office and our team will be happy to assist you. We look forward to seeing you there!

School photo day is here! Individual photos and sibling photos will be taken throughout the morning by our professional photographer. Please ensure all children come to school wearing their full school uniform, looking smart and ready for the camera.

School Disco: Spooky Season!

Get ready for our October School Disco! Organised by our Friends of St James' team, It promises to be a fantastic event filled with music, dancing, and fun for all of our pupils. Children are welcome to come in fancy dress to celebrate the spooky season! How to Book Tickets are available to purchase via the Arbor app or portal. Please note: Places are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid missing out! If you have any trouble booking your ticket on Arbor, please pop into the school office and our team will be happy to help. Please note this is for children in Reception to Y6 only.
