Friends of Darwen St James' Christmas Fayre
Please join us for our Friends of Darwen St James' Christmas Fayre. There will be lots of games, activities, refreshments, a visit from Father Christmas and lots more!
Non Uniform Day
We will be having a non-uniform day for all our children on Friday 1st December. However we are asking in return of children wearing no uniform, please could your child/ren bring a donation in for our Christmas Fayre that we will be holding on Friday 8th December. Please see below suggested donations that your child could bring in: Two's room - Mince Pies Preschool room - Sweets or Biscuits Reception - A bottle (preferably an alcoholic if you can as tickets sell much quicker) Year 1 - Chocolate (sealed box or jar etc) Year 2 - Chocolate (sealed box or jar etc) Year 3 - A bottle (preferably an alcoholic if you can as tickets sell much quicker) Year 4 - A bottle (preferably an alcoholic if you can as tickets sell much quicker) Year 5 - Chocolate (sealed box or jar etc) Year 6 - A bottle (preferably an alcoholic if you can as tickets sell much quicker) If you have any items that you have at home that you wish to donate to our 'New to You' stall such as clothes, toys, books etc, then please bring them in to school as well. These donations will be greatly appreciated!
Annual Summer Fair
Please come along to our annual Summer Fair where we will have lots of fun activities, stalls and food and drink to be had! This is always a success and each year gets bigger and better!
Non Uniform Day
Non-uniform day - Friday 28th June 2024 in return for donations towards our Summer Fayre please. Please see the donation list as follows: Nursery - Chocolate School - Bottle (preferably alcoholic as this is more popular, however we would be more than happy with a bottle of pop, cordial or bottled toiletries etc). We will also be holding a 'new to you' stall, so if you have had or are having a clear out then please note we would appreciate any donations for this such as toys, clothes, books etc. Thank you
Non Uniform Day
Please bring a bottle for our Christmas Fair tombola in exchange for wearing non-uniform for the day on Friday 29th November. They can be bottles of things that children might enjoy such as bubble bath, fizzy pop or bottles that grown ups might enjoy such as beer or wine! This is always a popular stall at our Christmas Fair and your support is appreciated!
Christmas Jumper Swap!
Outgrown a Christmas jumper, or no longer like the one in your wardrobe? Come along to our Christmas Jumper Swap at the Christmas Fair. We are asking you to drop off all of your unwanted baby/children/adult Christmas jumpers and t-shirts at the school office this week. On Friday 6th December you can come and choose a new festive top, ready for the Christmas season, completely free of charge!
Christmas Fair

Music Themed Non Uniform Day - In Lieu of Summer Fair
We are having a non uniform day in lieu of our Summer Fair. As a 'fine' we kindly ask for a bottle donation for our Summer Fair. This can be an alcoholic bottle, fizzy pop bottle, bottle of bath products etc. This is to use on our bottle tombola which is normally very busy, particularly alcoholic bottles seem to be most popular. This non uniform day is linked with National Music Day, come dressed up as anything linked with music, this could be your favourite rock star, pop singer, band member etc!

Summer Fair 2025
Come along to our annual Summer Fair where we have lots of stalls on the go, some familiar and some new businesses are booked on already! There will be lots of games, bottle tombola and fun activites! We have asked for a local ice cream van to attend this year as well with our own food and drink stall. Every year this is a huge success and we are sure this will be a family fun event.

Christmas Fayre
We will be holding our Christmas Fair after school on Friday 5th December 2025. Each year this event gets bigger and bigger and one not to be missed! Plenty of games, stalls, food and drink available I wonder if we will see any special visitors! Everyone is invited to come along. Please invite friends and family along.
