We will be holding a DSJ Joke Competition too! If your child has a joke they would llike to share they need to let their class teacher know by 11th March. The winner from each class will then go forward to a school competition in the hall during the assembly on March 18th and get their chance to tell their joke to the whole school where they will be judged to find the key stage winners (EYFS/KS1 and KS2). There will be prizes for the winners. The rule is that the joke must be original and not made up by the children. Nursery are having a Silly Sock day instead of telling jokes, there will be a prize for the silliest, most adventerous pair of socks!

Dress to Express- Children's Mental Health Week!

Children's Mental Health Week is taking place on 7-13 February 2022. This year's theme is Growing Together. We will be encouraging children (and adults) to consider how they have grown, and how they can help others to grow. The week is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on children and young people's mental health. By getting involved, you'll not only be raising important awareness, but also vital funds to ensure every child has easy access to mental health support. We will end Children's Mental Health Week by having a celebration by dressing to express. On Friday we will finish with a non-uniform day, wearing bright, cheerful colours!
