Year 2 began their design technology projects by looking at existing fire engines and the features they have. We then explored the main parts of the fire engines called the axle, chassis and wheels. Year 2 explored two ways of making their vehicles move using a fixed axle and a free axle. Then we designed and made our own fire engines using a 3D modelling program.
