Making Our Community Shine: School Council Litter Pick

Our newly appointed School Councillors took their first steps into the local community this week to lend a helping hand to the Blackburn with Darwen litter picking scheme. Armed with grabbers, high-vis vests, and plenty of enthusiasm, the team headed out to clear the rubbish left behind in our local park.

The children showed incredible dedication to their new roles, scouring the paths and green spaces to ensure the park is a cleaner, safer place for everyone to enjoy. Their hard work paid off massively, collecting two full bags of rubbish before heading back to school.

A huge well done to our council team on a brilliant first outing. You’ve set a fantastic example for the rest of the school and proved just how much of a difference a bit of community spirit can make!
