KS2 TTRS Battle of the Bands!

Here we go ???? We’ve kicked off a KS2 Times Tables Rock Stars Battle of the Bands today, with classes going head to head to see who can rack up the most points. The battle runs from today until 13th February. During that time, children can contribute to their class score for up to one hour a day on Times Tables Rock Stars. Every correct answer counts, so regular practice really will make a difference. This is all about building confidence, speed and accuracy with times tables, while having a bit of fun and healthy competition along the way. We’ll be cheering on effort as much as scores. Let the battle begin ????

To master this skill, the children used images of different fruits to create their own digital sorting trees. They had to think carefully about the physical features of each fruit to help someone else "discover" a secret item.

Year 3 - P.E - Hockey Skills

Year 3 had a fantastic lesson, mastering the core fundamentals of hockey. The lesson focused on building a solid foundation through three key areas: The Perfect Grip: Students practiced the "shake hands" grip, ensuring the left hand stayed at the top of the stick with the flat side always facing the ball. Close Control: Through a series of dribbling drills, the children learned to keep the ball "glued" to their stick using short, controlled touches to navigate around obstacles. The Push Pass: We concluded with partner work, focusing on the push pass. Students worked on keeping the stick in contact with the ball and following through toward their target for maximum accuracy.

The children spent time observing how both artists use fabric as a canvas, noting the contrast between broad sweeps of fabric paint and the delicate, rhythmic lines of stitching. Through group discussions, the pupils responded to the emotional impact of the work, sharing their thoughts on how the layered textures made the stories within the art feel more "alive" and three-dimensional.
