Year 2 explored a brilliant new technique this week in Art, creating fascinating 'feely drawings'!

The children began by receiving a unique twig, which they had personally collected from the school grounds. The challenge? To feel the twig without looking, gathering as much detail as possible using only their sense of touch. This required excellent focus and descriptive memory!

After two minutes, the twigs were hidden, and the children had five minutes to draw what they imagined the twig looked like. The session ended with the exciting reveal as they compared their tactile memory drawings to the actual object. What a fantastic way to develop observation skills and connect with nature!
