Temperatures are set to rise today and for the rest of the week. Please ensure your child comes to school with sun-cream on and has a sunhat or cap to wear. Please ensure they have their water bottle in school so we can keep them hydrated.

Food Glorious Food!
Today we had curry with rice and naan bread for dinner. Our pudding was gingerbread with strawberry delight. Thank you to Mrs Stuttard and the team for providing our lovely, nutritious lunches!
Reception Class Transition Afternoons.
Our new Reception children have joined us for three transition afternoons this week, and what fun we had! The children were able to explore their new environment, meet their new teachers and each other, and take part in lots of fun games and activities. We can’t wait to see you all again in September!
Y5 - Geography
Today year 5 went on a local area walk as part of our local area study in Geography. The children completed surveys about the streets and amenities in our area, as well as analysing the conditions in our area. Now to upload to digimaps!
Year 6 - DT
Year 6 have spent all day working hard to make veggie burgers and 3 different sauces (tzatziki, salsa and barbecue). Everyone has had a great day, and everyone tried the food they made! Well done Year 6!
Y4 - Science
Today Y4 were scientists investigating which type of chocolate melts the fastest!
Reception Class - Painting Day
Today the children have been exploring and mixing primary colours to see what other colours they could make.
Y2 - Science; Plants and Trees
The children had a wonderful time on our walk around Bold Venture park this morning. We looked at different plants and trees and thought about which were wild plants and which had been planted. We also thought about how seeds are dispersed.
Two’s Room - Planting Seeds
Last week in the two’s room afternoon group, we planted some cress seeds. We talked about what the seeds needed in order for them to grow and we used a watering can to water our own seeds. We have been watching them grow and when we checked on them today, they had grown so much!
Reception - Science Experiment
Yesterday the children participated in a science experiment. We had to choose some materials that would keep Incy Wincy dry. We used water to check if the material was waterproof and discussed the different properties of each item.
