Reception RE Lesson learning about The Mosque.
In Reception, we have continued our RE topic on Special Places. This week we were learning about The Mosque. Ms Dalal, Mrs Patel and Sohail from Year 6 answered many questions and showed us how they pray using a special counter. We were impressed that many children, including Sohail, go to The Mosque every day to learn the Quran. We were told that the boys and girls go in separate rooms and everyone takes off their shoes to show respect.
Nursery Class - PSED - Can You Dress The Pirates?
Nursery Class have been exploring all about pirates this week. The children were tasked with choosing some clothing and dressing the pirates. We spoke about the name of the item of clothing and where on the body it would go.
Year 5 Science Life Cycle of a Bird
Today in our Science lesson we have been learning about the life cycle of a bird and the parts of an egg.
Year 5 PE Javelin
In our PE lesson we looked at the technique needed to throw a ball. Then the children had to use that technique to throw a javelin.

Reception Class - Introducing the Bee Bots
Today in Reception the children have been programming the Bee Bots to follow an instruction, referring back to the arrows we learned about last week. The children had retained the names of the arrows, along with being able to correctly identify left and right. They could navigate the Bee Bot to fllow the directions of the arrow, explaining what was happening.
Year 1 P.E - Throwing and Catching.
Year 1 enjoyed P.E outside this week. During this lesson they learned how to throw a short distance under arm and a longer distance using an overarm technique.
Year 1 Maths - FInding a 1/4 of a Shape.
Year 1 talked about how to cut sandwiches into quarters. We used paper templates to help us look closely at each alternative. Then, we prepared jam sandwiches for our classroom picnic, making sure that every sandwich was an equal quarter.

Micro:bit Club - Creating a Digital Pet
Today the children have been programming their Micro:bit to create a digitial pet. There were lots of variables needed and lots of code to debug! The children showed gret perseverence and were proud of their finished program.
Year 3 - Computing - Adding an Attachment to an Email.
In our computer lesson today Year 3 have been learning how to add an attachment to an email. They had to reply to an email from the King then attach the safety quiz that they had made last lesson.
Year 3 - Music - Ordering a Sequence of Notes
In music today year 3 have been using their listening skills to order a sequence of notes and to play music using graphic notation.
Year 3 English - Identifying a Key Idea in a Paragraph
Today in English, Year 3 have been identifying key ideas in paragraphs about the Ancient Egyptians. Each group were given packs containing paragraphs and subheadings. They had to read each paragraph and match it with the correct subheading. Taking it in turns the children then moved around the room to see if the paragraphs had been sorted correctly.
