Year 4 English - Creating Dialogue
In English, Year 4 have been innovating the story of The Pied Piper and needed to change the characters in the tale, to make it our own version. We have been looking at dialogue and how the original characters spoke and acted with one another, to then transfer that to our own ideas and character creations. What better way to do it, than act it out?! We really enjoyed 'becoming' our characters and acting like they would, so we then could create dialogue for them.

Year 4 Class Worship
This week's Class Worship was about the current COP30 meeting in Brazil, for our World Leaders to create a list of things we could do to protect our planet. This linked to our previous Geography unit, and Year 4 were able to share their knowledge of pollution, deforestation and other human actions that aid to the decline of our planet. They began slowly and quietly, gradually building the intensity and speed of the storm with actions like finger clicks, claps, and jumping. The piece progressed from a gentle shower to a loud, quick downpour.

Cidari Earth Conference 2025
???? Cidari Earth Conference 2025 ???? This week, pupils from across the Cidari family came together under Gaia, the magnificent Earth installation, to take part in our Cidari Earth Conference. The theme was insurmountable problems — from disease and illness to deforestation and droughts — and how we, as a global family, can work together to solve them. Our children from Darwen St James were fantastic representatives. They spoke with real thoughtfulness and hope, offering ideas for how faith, kindness, and action can make a difference. They also created active prayer stations, encouraging others to reflect, pray, and act for the good of our world. It was wonderful to see the whole Cidari community united in faith and purpose — caring for creation, inspired by Christian values, and showing that even the biggest problems can be faced with love, courage, and perseverance. We’re so proud of our pupils and their passion for looking after God’s world.
