Year 3 - R.E - Painting Things We Are Thankful For
This week, our Year 3 students prepared some thoughtful and beautiful artwork for our upcoming Harvest Service at the church. The children painted pictures of what they are truly thankful for. They explored ideas of family, friendship, food, nature, and comfort, translating their deep feelings of gratitude into vibrant colours and creative designs. The finished pieces were uplifting and reflective, beautifully illustrating the meaning of giving thanks during the harvest season. Their artwork will be shown in the church as a wonderful addition to the service. We were incredibly proud of the care and sincerity they showed in creating these heartfelt pieces.
Year 5 RE - How do Bible texts teach Christian Values
This week in RE, Year 5 engaged in a thoughtful exploration of biblical texts, working in groups to analyze passages from Corinthians, Thessalonians, Matthew, Colossians, and Philippians. These texts all offered guidance on how to live a Christian life. Our fantastic group discussions allowed students to pull out key themes such as love, prayer, trust in God, and caring for others. They then synthesised these ideas into a summary paragraph before having a profound conversation about the challenges and rewards of applying this advice in their own lives.

Reception RE - Learning About Islam
What a wonderful way to explore and learn! Our Reception children have been diving into "Learning About Islam," and these photos capture some fantastic moments. It's clear to see how many aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage are being met here: Understanding the World: Children are developing a deeper understanding of different cultures, beliefs, and traditions. This helps them make sense of their community and the wider world around them. Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Through activities like role-play and respectful learning, children are building empathy, respect for others, and a positive sense of self. They're also learning about different ways people express their beliefs. Communication and Language: Whether discussing what they've learned, asking questions, or explaining concepts to each other, these activities encourage rich language development and communication skills. Expressive Arts and Design: We can see children engaging with props and potentially creating their own understanding through imaginative play, fostering creativity and self-expression. It's inspiring to see our young learners so engaged in such meaningful and inclusive education! #EYFS #EarlyYears #UnderstandingTheWorld #DiversityAndInclusion #LearningAboutIslam #ChildDevelopment #ReceptionClass

Nursery - R.E - Exploring Our Community
This week, Nursery class took part in a heartwarming RE lesson, all about community! We started by looking at a special picture of our whole class together. It was so lovely to see all our happy faces! We learned a new, important word: 'community'. We talked about how our class is a community, a special group of people who are together and care for each other. The children then had a chance to choose a friend from our class picture. It was delightful to see so many cuddles and high-fives being shared! We chatted about how we can help our friends feel happy, whether it’s sharing a toy or giving a kind smile. We also introduced the beautiful idea that people caring for each other is just like Jesus taught us. It was a gentle and meaningful way to explore how love and kindness bring us all closer, right here in our own school community. The children really engaged with the lesson, showing great recognition of their friends and demonstrating their understanding of being part of our special community. What a joy to see such love and connection in our classroom!
Reception - RE - Visit To The Church
