Year 1
Year 1 explored their sense of touch this week in Science.
Year 2 - Geography - Oceans of the World
Year 2 recalled the seven continents of the world using our giant globe. They then used maps in an atlas to locate and leaves the five oceans of the world. We then wrote about where the oceans were in relation to the continents.
Year 1 - Maths - Comparing the Amounts of Objects
Year 1 worked really hard in maths this week comparing amounts of objects and using the vocabulary less and more.

Year 6 Design and Technology
Year 6 made simple circuits to test if they would work and then added a switch. Next time we will be making our own switches.
Year 5 PE - Football Skills
Year 5's PE lessons were all about the football skills of tackling and defending this week. We had lots of fun in the sunshine tackling the ball from each other!
Year 5 English - Top Trumps of Mythical Monsters!
In English, Year 5 are learning about different ancient, mythical monsters to create a character for our stories based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. We used Mythical Monsters Top Trumps to help us begin to learn about these creatures!
Year 5 Science - Sieving
In Science this week, Year 5 have been learning how to separate solid mixtures using the process of sieving. We pretended to be gold prospectors and panned for gold in the soil!
Year 5 Art - Typography Using Different Materials
Year 5 are learning how to create typography in our Art lessons this term, which is the art of lettering. We used different materials like sticks, grasses, and screws and bolts to create letters, which we then sketched.
Nursery - Maths - Using Language 'Big And Small' And Sorting By Size
This week we have used the resources on our malleable tray to support the children's understanding of big and small. The children were tasked to find big and small pompoms of various colours and were encouraged to repeat and label the pompom 'big' or 'small'. Some children extended their learning and were able to find lots of pompoms of the same size and colour and successfully categorise them. Great job Nursery Class.

Year 4 Geography
As part of our Amazon Rainforest studies, we used our knowledge of infographics to create one based on the Amazon! We learned a lot about how we might improve the quality of our information and how it is presented, and we can't wait to use these skills in our Nessie infographics in English!
Year 4 PE - Fundamentals
In our PE lesson this week, year 4 worked hard on their running skills. We practiced sprinting to various distances, and worked on our technique.
Preschool- R.E-Creation with Jack The Bear
In R.E this week Jack the bear has taught Preschool all about God's Creation story, We looked at each day and what God created on that day.
